I saw the Beatles leaving the side entrance of the Odeon and going out for the evening. No one was bothering them because they weren’t famous at that time. Helen Shapiro was the star action and the Beatles followed her. I just looked at them and thought “Oh, those are those boys from Liverpool” and I thought no more of it. I just never knew what was about to happen just months later.
