Paul McCartney performed at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California, USA, on 13 July 2019.
It was the final show of the Freshen Up Tour, which lasted for 39 dates between September 2018 and July 2019. This concert was seen by 48,767 fans.
To the delight of fans, he was joined on stage by fellow former Beatle Ringo Starr, who played drums on ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)’ and ‘Helter Skelter’ during the encore.
Just the other night we finished our tour in Los Angeles and Ringo got up and we were doing ‘Helter Skelter’ together, and when I wasn’t on the mic, in the solo breaks and stuff, I really made a point of turning round and watching this guy drum. And thinking, ‘My god, you know, the memories across this ten-yard gap here,’ with him on the drums and me on the bass. The lifetime that’s going on here, and here he is! And I was just listening to him during that song. I was doing my performance basically [he sings] When I get to the bottom I go back to the top — as I’m doing that bit, there’s normally just the guitars sort of playing, but Ringo did what’s on record, building. So I’m going, ‘Oh yeah, great.’ So, you know, it’s a sort of magic.

Although I would never go to see any rockers past their mid-50s, it’s still cool seeing these pics of Paul and Ritchie together.
is it weird that i’m twelve years old and I’m already obsessed with the Beatles after just three days of hearing about them? I think not!
Good for you, Phoenix!
