A mixing session for a number of songs on Wings’ seventh studio album Back To The Egg took place on 20 October 1978.
Stereo mixes for each song were created, after which they were compiled onto two tape reels.
The first reel had ‘Radio’ (working title for ‘Reception’), ‘Emotional Moments’ and ‘He Didn’t Mean It’ (both parts of the unreleased ‘Cage’), ‘Getting Closer’, ‘We’re Open Tonight’, ‘Spin It On’, ‘Again And Again And Again’, and ‘Old Siam, Sir’. The second reel had ‘To You’, ‘Arrow Through Me’, ‘After The Ball’, ‘Million Miles’, ‘Winter Rose’, ‘Love Awake’, ‘Radio Bit’ (working title for ‘The Broadcast’), ‘Rockestra Theme’, and ‘So Glad To See You Here’.
‘Baby’s Request’ was intended to be recorded by the Mills Brothers, so was not a contender for the album at this stage.
