David Sheff continued his interview with John Lennon and Yoko Ono for Playboy on 17 September 1980.
Sheff accompanied the couple from the Dakota Building to the Hit Factory. They arrived three hours before the recording session was scheduled to begin, so they used the time to discuss subjects including a Beatles reunion, politics, drugs, marriage, and money.
Sheff also spoke to the couple on 11, 12, 15, 24, 25, and 28 September 1980.
