David Sheff continued his interview with John Lennon and Yoko Ono for Playboy on 15 September 1980.
Sheff joined the couple at the Dakota Building at 10.30am, and initially spoke only to Ono. Lennon arrived shortly before the couple departed for the Hit Factory for an overdub session for the Double Fantasy album.
Sheff also spoke to the couple on 11, 12, 17, 24, 25, and 28 September 1980.
