Los paranoias. Kinda lounge music and smooth easy listening band.

What was Love Me Do original title and why did they change it in the end?

It was originally "Several Species of Small Furry Creatures Gathered Together In A Cave and Grooving With A Pict". They changed it because it wouldn't do to have a song title longer than the song itself; and because Pink Floyd threatened a lawsuit, stating their intention to meet each other in 1965 and record an identically-titled track in 1969.

Why is The Beatles referred to as a "double" album?

The following people thank vonbontee for this post:

GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions, Marvin Gaye. PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

The first person to review the album in 1968 accidentally bumped into a lamppost beforehand and got double vision, hence when they sat down to review the album, they referred to it as a double album. This same person also gave a review of the album Fantasy in 1980, after bumping into another lamppost.

It was referred to as a "double" album because they thought it would sell twice as much their albums usually sold. This however became untrue, when John decided he "needed" Revolution 9 on the album.

What did John have to do for Paul to agree to let Revolution 9 be on The Beatles?

He had to prove that if you play Bohemian Rhapsody backwards, it provides a satanic message about Revelations and syncs up perfectly with The Wizard Of Oz.

What guitar model did Ringo Starr play on the guitar solo for Queen's Dead On Time.

They were given half a million pounds sterling, not that it mattered in the end, because The Fool and their money were soon parted.

Haha Ahhh Girl, you set me up for that one intentionally, surely!

What songs were on the Beatles' 1971 "Plaid" album?

I have heard a bootleg recording of Socks from the recording session when they were working on Skirt. I really think they should have worked on Socks more and put it on the album instead of Leg Warmer. I know. I know. Leg Warmer has die hard fans. But, Socks just knocks my socks off.

And we would have to go to the Fifty Shades thread to discuss the verse they left out of Pants. a-hard-days-night-ringo-6 Oh, those naughty Beatles!

The Plaid reprise is note for note the same as Plaid. The only difference is that Ringo sings instead of John.

Tell one story to come out of John and Paul's holiday in Paris when John inherited some money.

They decided to buy some pets to be official Beatles mascots. So Paul bought a cat and named it Dog, while John decided upon a dog named Cat. Cat and Dog played tag for awhile, with Cat chasing Dog up a tree (where Dog caught a fish named Bird), followed by Dog chasing Cat into the Seine (where Cat caught a bird named Fish.) In the end, Paul and John decided that Dog the cat and Cat the dog would be too much trouble, so they took them back to the pet store owned by a man named Mouse and exchanged them for a mouse, which they named Mr. Stephen Tompkins.

What was America's reaction to John's claim that The Beatles had more #1 records than Jesus?

Ringo. His work on 'Thomas The Tank Engine' was ground-breaking where he went under the pseudonym of Biggie Smalls. The language used was a bit of a shock tho, so if shocked by offensive language better you not listen to it.

Why does Paul mimic Ringo on 'You Known My Name (Look Up The Number)'.

Because a few years earlier, Ringo mimicked Paul while singing his song, Yesterday . His impression was so good, that Parlophone accidentally misprinted Yesterday as a Lennon/McCartney song. After it spawned a ton of covers, Paul later said he wished he wrote the song, and became furious towards Ringo. Paul's mimicking in YKMN was an unsuccessful attempt at payback, as most people ignored it, and instead focused on Brian Jones'  amazing saxophone playing.

What else did Paul do to try to do to get revenge on Ringo?

Paul replaced Ringo's drumsticks with sticks of dynamite, and the result was something like this

George (and Ringo) famously played a charity concert in 1971. What charitable cause were the proceeds intended for?
