John Lennon and Yoko Ono attended the 17th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony on 1 March 1975.
Lennon was one of the presenters at the event, which began with a dinner at the Americana Hotel in New York City, before the ceremony began at the Uris Theatre on Broadway.
Lennon presented the Record of the Year award with Paul Simon and Andy Williams. Although won by Olivia Newton-John and producer John Farrar for ‘I Honestly Love You’, it was accepted by Simon’s former bandmate Art Garfunkel.
Although they did not attend the ceremony, Paul and Linda McCartney won a Grammy for Band On The Run: Best Pop Vocal Performance By a Duo, Group or Chorus. Geoff Emerick also won the Best Engineered Recording, Non-Classical award for his work on the album.
After the ceremony Lennon and Ono attended a party hosted by Motown Records at Les Jardins in the Hotel Diplomat.
