John Lennon and Yoko Ono flew from New York to Houston, Texas, on 1 March 1972.
It was in preparation for a custody hearing on 3 March at the Court of Domestic Relations in Harris County, Texas, during which Ono was awarded temporary custody of her eight-year-old daughter Kyoko.
