John Lennon discusses Roots album with Maurice Levy

One week after their initial meeting, on 14 October 1974 John Lennon met Maurice Levy of Big Seven Music Corp again to discuss Levy’s Roots album.

Once again the meeting took place at Club Cavallero on East 58th Street in Manhattan. Levy was keen to have an update on the recording sessions for Lennon’s rock ‘n’ roll oldies project, which Levy wanted to sell via his mail order company Adam VIII.

Lennon told Levy that rehearsals were due to begin the following week. Levy in turn offered them use of his upstate farmhouse, Sunnyview Farm in Ghent, to which Lennon agreed. The rehearsals took place from 18-20 October.
