AIR Studios, London
Producer: Paul McCartney
A mixing session for Wings’ single ‘Junior’s Farm’ took place on 11 October 1974.
This was the final mixing session for the song, although the results were never used.
‘Junior’s Farm’ had already been mixed on three separate occasions, by Ernie Winfrey in Nashville, and Geoff Emerick and Alan O’Duffy in London. This fourth session was to give George Martin and his team at AIR Studios a chance to make his mark on the song.
Two tape reels of stereo mixes were filled on this day, with only three mixes being complete. Paul McCartney then reviewed the mixes by all four people, and chose O’Duffy’s for the single.
