Producers: John Lennon, Yoko Ono

Yoko Ono recorded two songs for her third album Approximately Infinite Universe on 25 September 1972, with John Lennon co-producing.

The songs were ‘Move On Fast’ and ‘Now Or Never’. The latter was issued as a single in November 1972, with ‘Move On Fast’ on the b-side. Both songs were mixed in stereo the following day.

  1. Bonjour !

In 1972, a friend of mine was in NYC to observe, on behalf of an European media group, how the Nixon/McGovern presidential campaign was unfolding among Manhattan’s intellectuals, artists, musicians, and writers. At the same time, there was a mobilization within that same community against the plan to deport John Lennon.

For a month, my friend attended various gatherings and meetings, and during one of them, those present were given Yoko Ono’s brand-new 45 rpm single “Now Or Never” along with a “Don’t Let Them Down” pin’s, accompanied by a text explaining the meaning of “Now Or Never,” to which a signature by Jimi Hendrix had been added.

As a Jimi Hendrix fan, I’m wondering if you have any explanation for this connection to Jimi Hendrix ?
