Wings added several overdubs to ‘Hi, Hi, Hi’ on 25 September 1972.
The day before they had recorded three slide guitar overdubs, and Paul McCartney had added two lead guitar parts. On this day two of the slide guitar parts were replaced with new versions. The third part was overwritten with harmony vocals and percussion.
‘Hi, Hi, Hi’ was one of Wings’ more complex recordings, and took numerous sessions to complete. It was almost finished by this point, but still required two more sessions before McCartney was finally happy.
