7 December 1970 was the second day of a week in which Paul McCartney overdubbed vocals for the Ram album.
The sessions were at CBS’s Studio D on 30th Street, a converted church renowned for its good sound quality.
McCartney worked on six songs, five of which were released on Ram: ‘Monkberry Moon Delight’, ‘Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey’, ‘3 Legs’, ‘Long Haired Lady’, and ‘The Back Seat Of My Car’. The other song was ‘Oh Woman, Oh Why’, which became the b-side of his debut solo single ‘Another Day’.
