John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s film Apotheosis had its premiere on 10 November 1969.
The screening took place at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London. The film had been shot in Hampshire on 28 October, and depicted a 17-minute journey of a balloon as it rose into the clouds. Lennon and Ono appear at the beginning of the film dressed in black hooded cloaks.
