Mixing: Get On The Right Thing by Wings

Studio Two, EMI Studios, Abbey Road
Producer: Paul McCartney
Engineers: Tony Clark, Alan Parsons

A mixing session for the song ‘Get On The Right Thing’ took place in the evening of 10 November 1971.

The song had been recorded by Paul McCartney during the Ram album sessions, but was eventually issued on Wings’ second album Red Rose Speedway. At this time McCartney was planning to release it as the b-side of a standalone single, ‘Little Woman Love’.

McCartney was unsure about the vocals on ‘Get On The Right Thing’, although Denny Laine thought highly of the song and lobbied for it to be released without changes. McCartney eventually agreed, and decided to work on mixes until 4am, filling two tape reels.
