This was the 10th date of The Beatles’ 1964 British tour. It was also their third of four visits to Glasgow’s Odeon Cinema, and the last of three consecutive dates in Scotland.
The Beatles performed two concerts a night, for which they were paid £850. Their set throughout the 1964 tour contained 10 songs: ‘Twist And Shout’, ‘Money (That’s What I Want)’, ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’, ‘Things We Said Today’, ‘I’m Happy Just To Dance With You’, ‘I Should Have Known Better’, ‘If I Fell’, ‘I Wanna Be Your Man’, ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ and ‘Long Tall Sally’.
The support acts on the tour were The Rustiks, Sounds Incorporated, Michael Haslam, The Remo Four, Tommy Quickly and Mary Wells, and the compère was Bob Bain. The evening’s two shows began at 6.40pm and 9pm.

are there really no audio recordings of this 1964 autumn british tour? I’d love to hear them perform these songs, but never found any bootleg of that tour. Anyone?
There is a very short clip of that wonderful night in glasgow i was with the lady who became mywife i never saw her scream so hard we were only 12 rows from the front we could actually hear them it was a night that will stay with me forever i lost my lovely lady in 20015 but i remember it so clearly my wifes skirt was so short it was a laugh we remembered it every yearbut on my own now
That’s a lovely memory Harry, thank you for sharing! I’malso so sorry to hear that you lost your lovely wife in 2015 too 🙁
I’m a huge fan of the songs played on this tour, do you have any overriding memories of the songs that they played please? I have always wondered whether John used his harmonica when playing I Should Have Known Better, a Hard Day’s Night is possibly my favourite Beatles album 🙂
