Studio Two (control room), EMI Studios, Abbey Road
Producer: George Martin
Engineer: Norman Smith
Between 10am and 1pm mono mixes for The Beatles’ fifth UK single were made, along with stereo mixes for potential future use.
The most notable change to take place was the fade-out given to ‘This Boy’, which had been recorded on 17 October with a full ending.
Along with ‘I Want To Hold Your Hand’ as the single’s a-side, ‘This Boy’ was released on 29 November 1963.
