I was in the Beatles! beatlemaniacs_02_gif The others were from about 1960-ish, and wore all leather. We were playing at my house (I was on lead guitar), but I wasn’t able to play almost anything! I had to nervously fake my way through everything; it was terrible! After we were finished with practice, I talked to John about it (he was standing a little ways in front of me when we were playing). It then seemed that John, Paul, George and I were going somewhere, as we left and started walking down the sidewalk (all after George spoke with me and offered to teach me everything I needed to know). a-hard-days-night-george-9heart

Many many years ago (probably close to a decade ago), I had a dream that my class was going on a field trip to see a John Lennon concert. While that is unusual in itself, as we were loading on the bus, I saw John on the bench I think looking like he did in ’67.

About seven years ago, I had a dream where I met Paul backstage. He looked like he did in the 80s. As I was going to his concert at the time, I asked about recording. He said it was fine aslong as I didn’t post them on YouTube. I think the day after that dream, I actually did go see Sir Paul in concert.

Last Night, I dreamt that Paul formed a new band called ‘Paul McCartney and the Jumping Jacks’ and since he still needed a backing vocalist he asked a question on the internet and he promised to take in the first one who should answer it correctly. The question was ‘What colour is the fourth hair on my skull?’ and @Ahhh Girl immediately found the correct answer which happened to be ‘The same colour as you, Sir Paul.’

Congrats on being a member of the Jumping Jacks now, Ahhh Girl, but how could you possibly know the answer? a-hard-days-night-paul-7a-hard-days-night-george-10

He knew I would be the one to answer correctly. It was all rigged.

Big black limo. Paul got in. I got in and sat across from him. There was a table between us. Nancy got in and sat beside me. I told her I was the one that made signs with her picture on them for Paul’s concerts. She and I talked like old friends. Other people were in the limo with us. Paul was smiling and laughing with them. I told Nancy I needed to tell her husband something. I asked her how he liked to be addressed by people he doesn’t know: Sir Paul, Paul, Mr. McCartney…

I woke up before hearing the reply.

Which reminds me, I dreamt that I woke up with a feeling of something being terribly wrong, and my parents said ‘Didn’t you hear, Paul McCartney and Roger Waters have died’ and the television and radio and everything were all going on about it. I was in denial. When I woke up I remembered that they were both alive and well, and was very relieved.

^^What a nightmare!a-hard-days-night-ringo-14

I had a rather beautiful dream a few days ago:

In the dream, I was a choirmaster and rehearsed an acapella version of Imagine with a huge choir. They sang everything, even the piano introduction and they did an awesome job, I could see that they really tried their best. But it just wouldn’t sound right, no matter what we tried – it didn’t have that special Imagine feeling*. After a few hours, we got very desperate because the concert drew nearer and nearer and it wouldn’t improve. Then, all of a sudden, the stage grew bigger and bigger and transformed into a piano and the singers on the stage turned into the keys on the piano. When the enormous piano was ready, a giant John walked into the room, sat down in front of the piano, and started singing Imagine . But when he played the piano it didn’t sound like a piano – rather, he was playing the singers, so each time he hit a key the respective singer sang a note. When he opened the mouth to sing himself, the whole choir sang instead. And it finally sounded like Imagine .

* for me, this is the combination of feeling a warm, comforting blanket around oneself and a burning, passionate fire within oneself

Paul was falling through the stages of dementia. paul-mccartney

Mary and Stella decided to move their dad into a building near their offices in central London so they could help keep an eye on him. The building looked like a plain cinder block building from the outside. Inside, though, they had transformed the place into a luxurious living area. The bedroom had beautiful tapestries all over the walls.

They got me to be his full-time, live-in “helper”. Well, it didn’t take long for AG’s daydreams to come true.

Mary and Stella walked in on us living out AG’s daydreams.

Mary looked at Stella and said, “Face it, Stella. Our dad is a hound dog.”

Stella replied, “At least we don’t have to worry about dad having another child.”

I could hear their conversation, but it didn’t interrupt the activity taking place.

Last night, I dreamt I was the George in a Beatles tribute band (yay!) ahdn_george_08 We were wearing the collarless suits and were due to play a show at my school assembly for some reason. I was backstage discussing with the other band members different hand positions for chords when we were suddenly shoved onto the stage by one of the prop people. You’d think we would play the popular Beatles songs, but instead, believe it or not, we started playing…

Beautiful Dreamer. Quite appropriate, eh? a-hard-days-night-george-10

I could actually hear myself singing backing harmonies in a very George voice, and I think the audience were really enjoying it! However, suddenly this metal cage rose up from the ground and dragged us down. Then I woke up….ahdn_george_05

I dreamt of an amazing cover of This Boy by the Beach Boys from the 70s, with Dennis singing John’s solo line with his soft gentle voice.

Would be great to hear in real life!

1959-era John and Paul were sitting together on a bus seat. It was one of those regular yellow school buses, and they were in about the middle of the bus. They had their guitars and were playing and singing lots of good old Rock And Roll Music . People from 5 seats in front of and behind them (on both sides of the bus) were all actively leaning in towards them and singing along. A few people were standing in the aisle by them.

Just that. Plain and simple.

All the Aussie Forumpudlians going on about Macca and my listening to Band On The Run inspired my subconscious…

In short, I got to go to a Paul McCartney concert! beatlemaniacs_02_gif (In my dreams. a-hard-days-night-paul-10) When we were walking in, we passed rows of seats way, way back in the nosebleed seats which you apparently didn’t need a ticket for, and I saw that my friend and his dad had found a spot there. I was very pleased that he, too, would get to see the show. We made our way to our seats (somehow we’d managed to score some really nice ones, just behind the floor section) and then I noticed that my friend had, in the intervening time, made his way to the seats just behind us. (MADgic). The show began with some Chinese storyteller-dancers. The story they were telling completely went over my head — I heard the words clearly, but for some reason completely missed the meaning — but then THE MAN HIMSELF came out and I forgot everything else as the crowd hollered and I went for a full-on Beatlemaniac scream. beatlemaniacs_02_gif

I heard a count-up and I Saw Her Standing There burst out, and I was singing along very badly and the lot. One thing I noticed was that it wasn’t nearly loud enough — Roger Waters had been much louder, and I was expecting the same fabosity of volume with Paul — but I figured it was because it was a dream, and that the real thing would be properly deafening. paul-mccartney-thumb_gif

I specifically remember them playing Band On The Run , Jet , Let Me Roll It , and possibly Eight Days A Week or something of that ilk, and then a vague haze of general Beatleysongness in between those. It was perfectly splendid. During the intermission I somehow got recruited into some kind of acrobatics troupe which was going to be performing at the end, and so I got to go backstage a bit. I think Paul was in a wheelchair when he wasn’t onstage, for some medical reason. It was around this time that the dream lost momentum and so the intermission never really ended, but at the end there the lady who had been coaching the acrobatics troupe took me to meet Paul and get my programme (because apparently rock shows have programmes) autographed. a-hard-days-night-paul-8

And now I really wanna see the real thing!
