About a week ago, I had a dream that involved hugging/kissing Paul. We didn’t know eachother (well… he didn’t know me) but he was really chill about it like it was a routine thing.

Lucky you! beatlemaniacs_02_gif

Has my first BB dream in a while…most of it was literally unmemorable, but at the end I became aware of a girl w/pink guitar, and realized “so this is the famous Silly Girl! and the famous Sadie!” Then I woke up.

I must be doing something wrong if your subconscious sees me as the kind of girl who would be caught alive with a pink guitar. paul-mccartney-facepalm_gif

Although, considering how much grounding in reality a typical dream has, perhaps it’s not so bad as that… a-hard-days-night-paul-7

Oh wait, is Sadie some shade of off-pink? Or is it cream-coloured? (I have a mental tic about the phrase ‘cream coloured’ – whenever I hear or read it, I automatically picture pink, until I really think about it)

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

Yes, my Sadie is white! Not sure how you missed that, considering the number of pictures I’ve posted of her looking, at times, decidedly yellow paul-mccartney-facepalm_gif

Ok then, blame it on a combination of dream illogic, and my cream/pink confusion along with poor eyesight!

I had a dream years ago (when I first really got into The Beatles) that felt real. I was in a restaurant with my Dad and it was December 1980. We had time travelled to this period. We saw John Lennon inside and realised he was only days away from dying, but couldn’t say anything or intervene. We were just looking at him from a distance.

I dreamt briefly of George last night: he was putting two-year-old Dhani’s favourite album (it was a CD — I realise now that that’s historically inaccurate), The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, away, and apparently Dhani’s favourite colour was pink. He expressed concern for Dhani’s later social life if pink were his favourite colour, and Olivia pointed out that he could always just have a second favourite colour. mccartney-shrug_01_gif

I also dreamt of John Bonham’s 25th birthday party, at which George was present — in fact, he got the party started by lobbing the cake into Bonzo’s face (before Bonzo could prank him)! After that everyone was getting chucked into the pool, and I was being Jimmy Page, and since Page couldn’t swim, he just decided to preemptively walk into the pool (very gracefully, wearing a very expensive suit) before someone dunked him. a-hard-days-night-john-6

Yeah, and I’ve always remembered it. Pretty powerful stuff. I think it showed just how deep and strong my feelings were (and remain) for John in the early days of my mega fandom. He was someone I thought about a lot.

I had a dream where Paul and Linda had invited me around to some random house for a get together of sorts. I can actually remember being on the motorway, sat in the back seat of a car (no pun intended a-hard-days-night-paul-8)  whilst Paul was driving with Linda sitting next to him in the front. They were talking about their cameos in The Simpsons episode “Lisa The Vegetarian” on the way there, but I don’t remember saying much. When we got to the house, there were a few people sat around in the living room and I think Paul told me to go and hand out some snacks, while he and Linda sat down and watched the TV with everyone else. I was looking in the kitchen cupboards for things to serve when I heard the telly being turned up in the other room. I could hear dialogue from “Lisa The Vegetarian” episode that they were talking about earlier. Everyone was cheering and was asking when Paul and Linda would appear in the episode. It then occurred to me :”Oh yes, they’re vegetarians, so I better hand out some veggie snacks.” I was just about to look in another cupboard when the dream ended just like that. a-hard-days-night-paul-3

It would’ve been fun to hand out the snacks and sing Maybe I’m Amazed with everyone else at the end of the episode.

In 1968, white canvas tennis shoes were made to commemorate the Beatles White Album . For some reason, they had a little Yellow Submarine logo on the outside of the heel area. mccartney-shrug_01_gif

A pair of these shoes were found this month in pristine condition in their original box. Everyone was marveling over them. beatlemaniacs_02_gif

I was searching all over the library for a missing biology book and “let her under your skin” from Hey Jude kept going through my mind. Kinda creepy.

I had a terrible dream where 2 of my friends and I went to see Paul in concert in either the Philippines or Thailand. I drove them there and our seats were absolutely terrible, right at the back of the stadium. I decided to leave 10 minutes before the concert ended to get to the back of the stadium with the hope of getting an autograph.

I was queuing up with about 20 other fans and Paul walks out. I start gushing going “Paul, Paul I’m a big fan, can I have your autograph?”. He ignores us and then his massive bitch of a manger comes out and says “Paul isn’t signing autographs, he’s too important to be dealing with YOU people. He doesn’t want to waste time on you”. I was absolutely heartbroken. When I woke up, I actually thought “f**k Paul and f**k his management” before remembering it was just a dream.

Utterly horrid!

Ooh, ASJ, sorry to hear that. Probably wouldn’t happen in real life though, thankfully. (I mean, the Philippines? a-hard-days-night-john-6)

Now I feel shamed ‘cos I had a dream with Paul in it that was rather pleasant… I was just watching him on the television, but still…
