John Lennon and Yoko Ono announced on this day that they were expecting a baby.
The baby was due in February 1969, according to the announcement. This would date the conception to May 1968, the month that their relationship began.
However, the pregnancy never came to term. Ono suffered a miscarriage on 21 November 1968 at Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, London. The unborn child was named John Ono Lennon II, and was buried by the couple in a secret location.
