‘Mr H Atom’ is an outtake from Paul McCartney’s sessions for his second solo album McCartney II.
It centres around the repeated chorus: “Mr H Atom/Lives in a flat on/The male side of town”. McCartney speaks the only other lines: “Well it has been suggested that the only difference between a male and A Female is one atom of hydrogen”.
‘Mr H Atom’ remained officially unreleased until 2011, when it was part of the Archive Collection reissue of McCartney II. It was released as part of a medley with ‘You Know I’ll Get You Baby’.
