Wonsaponatime

John Lennon. Capitol 1998, Audio CD, $12.90

This 21-track collection of highlights from the John Lennon Anthology box set was released in 1998.

Intended to present a more palatable and accessible entry to the four-CD box set, Wonsaponatime distilled some of the best tracks onto a single disc. Some of the versions were edited from their original form.

Wonsaponatime is a collection of home demos, alternative studio outtakes and unreleased material recorded by John Lennon and serves as a one-disc distillation of the highlights from the simultaneously released John Lennon Anthology box set.

The set was compiled by Yoko Ono, and several of the Anthology tracks were edited to shorter versions.

Wonsaponatime failed to chart in the United States, and peaked at number 76 in the United Kingdom.
