1968 is my favorite Beatles year, both musically and visually, so keep these pics coming! Most I’ve seen before but several are new even to me.

It’s my favourite era as well. They had evolved as a band and were in full bloom just before the end.

The anniversary of Avedon’s solarized Beatle photos just passed on August 10, and I have a question I’ve been meaning to ask for a while. Has anyone come across any non-solarized photos from that session of the other members like these of John?parlance
Better late than never. I just posted one, but I guess I was off by a year, as the Avedon Foundation has it dated for August of 1967.

There’s some news to share (though it wasn’t actually their final one):
Filmmaker creating a fan-film about The Beatles
This weekend marks the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ final photoshoot.
“The Mad Day Out” photographs have gone on to become some of the best-known pictures of the group, and this weekend people are expected to gather at the Magic Roundabout in Old Street to celebrate the occasion.
It comes as director Simon Weitzman begins work on his film, “Here, There And Everywhere “, which tells the story of the Fab Four through the eyes of fans.

I didn’t want to derail that thread so I brought the picture over here to ask my question.
Who is that behind George and Paul?

Francie definitely attended more than one session, @Ahhh Girl. It’s mentioned in her book.

Francie was present at times when the White Album was being recorded, and she was one of the backing vocalists who sang the ‘shoo-bee-do-wop’ vocals on Revolution 1 :
https://www.beatlesbible.com/s…..olution-1/
All four of the Beatles’ wives / girlfriends of the time contributed some vocals to the White Album songs:
Francie on Revolution 1 , Yoko and Pattie on Birthday , Yoko and Maureen on The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill , and Yoko on Revolution 9 .

I wonder if Jane Asher would have ever contributed vocals to a Beatles song.

Maybe. I don’t know specifically about Jane’s singing abilities, but certainly musical talent runs in the family with regard to her mother, Margaret, and brother, Peter.
I wonder if there are any recordings available of Jane singing?
