Ringo Starr’s first live album, Ringo Starr And His All-Starr Band, was released in the UK on 8 October 1990.
It was recorded by the former Beatles drummer and the All-Starr Band on the final dates of their first tour, at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on 3 and 4 September 1989.
The album was released in the UK by EMI, and four days later by Rykodisc in the US, but failed to chart.
The recording of ‘It Don’t Come Easy’ was released as a single, with the b-sides ‘The Weight’ and non-album recordings ‘Rocky Mountain Way’ and ‘Act Naturally’. ‘The Weight’ featured lead vocals by Levon Helm, and ‘Rocky Mountain Way’ was sung by Joe Walsh.
A limited deluxe edition of Ringo Starr And His All-Starr Band was also released by Rykodisc in the US in 1990, which included the CD single as a bonus disc.
