Wings recorded overdubs for the Band On The Run song ‘Bluebird’ on 8 October 1973.
The session involved a guest performer: percussionist Remi Kabaka, who was also recording at AIR Studios. Kabaka knew Denny Laine, who invited him to perform on the song.
Kabaka added claves, guiro, and conga to ‘Bluebird’. Paul McCartney also replaced his guide vocals with final lead vocals, with harmonies from Laine and Linda McCartney.
