Wings finished recording the song ‘Tomorrow’ on 8 October 1971.
The session began with a reduction mix, which combined the drums and bass guitar on a single track. Paul McCartney then overdubbed a guitar solo on the newly-empty track.
In the afternoon attentions turned to ‘Mumbo’. Paul and Linda McCartney added backing vocals, and Paul and Denny Laine overdubbed electric guitar parts.
‘Mumbo’ was almost seven minutes long, so it was mixed and edited to 3:58. McCartney then used two of the excised sections, and edited them together to create ‘Mumbo Link’, the final track on Wild Life.
