‘Mumbo Link’ is the closing track on Wings’s debut album Wild Life.
Lasting just 46 seconds, it is the briefest track on the album; only ‘Bip Bop Link’ comes close.
‘Mumbo Link’ was an edit made on 8 October 1971, following an overdub session for ‘Mumbo’. The song was originally almost seven minutes long, and was edited to 3:58. McCartney then used two of the excised sections, editing them together to create ‘Mumbo Link’.
‘Bip Bop Link’ and ‘Mumbo Link’ were both unlisted on editions of Wild Life released prior to 1987.
