Ringo Starr’s first live album, Ringo Starr And His All-Starr Band, was released in the US on 12 October 1990.
It was recorded by the former Beatles drummer and the All-Starr Band on the final dates of their first tour, at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on 3 and 4 September 1989.
The album had been released in the UK by EMI on 8 October, but failed to chart anywhere.
The recording of ‘It Don’t Come Easy’ was released as a single, with the b-sides ‘The Weight’ and non-album recordings ‘Rocky Mountain Way’ and ‘Act Naturally’. ‘The Weight’ featured lead vocals by Levon Helm, and ‘Rocky Mountain Way’ was sung by Joe Walsh.
A limited deluxe edition of Ringo Starr And His All-Starr Band was also released by Rykodisc in the US in 1990, which included the CD single as a bonus disc.
