Recording: Power Cut by Wings

Wings finished recording the Red Rose Speedway song ‘Power Cut’ on 12 October 1972.

The backing track had been taped on 4 October in 17 takes. Over four days, on this and the three previous ones, Wings completed the song at Island Studios, adding celeste, electric guitars, Mellotron, bass guitar, drums, and lead and backing vocals.

The overdubs included the reprise of the melodies from ‘Hold Me Tight’, ‘Lazy Dynamite’, and ‘Hands Of Love’.
