Studio Two, EMI Studios, Abbey Road
Producer: George Martin
Engineer: Geoff Emerick
The third recording session for ‘Everybody’s Got Something To Hide Except Me And My Monkey’ saw more overdubs added to take eight of the song.
The session began with the recording of Paul McCartney’s main bass guitar part. He added another on 23 July 1968, which can be heard from 2’03” in the final recording.
Two reduction mixes were then made, which took the song into take 10. This made room for John Lennon’s lead vocals, which were replaced by another attempt on 23 July.
