This was the third night of Another Beatles Christmas Show, which ran from 24 December 1964 to 16 January 1965 at London’s Hammersmith Odeon. The 20-date run resumed on this date after a rest day on 27 December.
There were two shows on this night, with guest performers including Freddie And The Dreamers, Sounds Incorporated, Elkie Brooks, The Yardbirds, Michael Haslam, The Mike Cotton Sound and Ray Fell. The compère was Jimmy Savile.

They closed the shows with an 11-song set: ‘Twist And Shout’, ‘I’m A Loser’, ‘Baby’s In Black’, ‘Everybody’s Trying To Be My Baby’, ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’, ‘Honey Don’t’, ‘I Feel Fine’, ‘She’s A Woman’, ‘A Hard Day’s Night’, ‘Rock And Roll Music’ and ‘Long Tall Sally’.

I remember going to one of these shows, I was 13 and it was the first time I saw the Beatles live, but I don’t remember JImmy Saville being the compere it was Ray Fell.when they sang the last song my friends and I decided to run up the aisle to the stage and throw a letter to them, but my friends bottled out and I ended up on my own charging up to the stage! A security man grabbed me as he thought I was going to climb on the stage but I only wanted a better view of my idols as my seat was in the last row of the stalls! Ah memories!
