‘Just Because’ is the penultimate song on Choba B CCCP Paul McCartney’s 1998 album of rock ‘n’ roll oldies.

Written by Joe Shelton, Sydney Robin, and Bob Shelton, it was originally recorded by Nelstone’s Hawaiians in 1929. and later recorded by The Shelton Brothers in 1933.[1][2] Some sources[which?] say that Sydney Robin wrote the song alone and the Sheltons added their name when they recorded it.

Elvis Presley recorded ‘Just Because’ on 10 September 1954 at Sun Studios. It was released on his debut album for RCA.

McCartney’s version was based on Presley’s arrangement. It was taped on 20 July 1987 at Hog Hill Mill studio, along with eleven other known songs: ‘Kansas City’, ‘Twenty Flight Rock’, ‘Lawdy Miss Clawdy’, ‘I’m In Love Again’, ‘Bring It On Home To Me’, ‘Lucille’, ‘I’m Gonna Be A Wheel Someday’, ‘That’s All Right (Mama)’, ‘Summertime’, ‘Midnight Special’, and ‘It’s Now Or Never’.
