Yes, @Shamrock Womlbs got it!
If you read down the page here for the song Blackbird , There’s a long discussion about what is making the tapping noise on the recording. I had, with many others, always assumed it to be a metronome, but apparently it was not.
Hence, “not metronome.”
Congrats! Sorry for the delay in answering… there was a holiday yesterday ..
