Does anyone know if there any plans for any more Beatle releases? Possibly something similar to the Anthologies? I really want high quality versions or SFF Takes 1 (With Backup Vocals) and 4.

MOD EDIT: To discuss this topic, please go to https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..he-vaults/

I have no idea but I want carnival of lights (even if I’ m no fan of avant garde) and a version of the let it be/get back album remixed by george martin (let it be with more quiet orchestras and with new overdubs, editing….)

Gyles Martin has spoken of a top secret project but no details have been released at all. Surely it wasnt the Tomorrow Never Knows compilation.

Hopefully we will get something special to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Love Me Do and not some crappy compilation or merchandise (never recovered from the limited very expensive 30th anniversary White Album penblue-meanie). Plus America will go insane when its 50 years since the first Sullivan appearance. There are tons of opportunities for new things to be put out there, especially as the events themselves will make the news.

LOL you love to rant about that White Album pen!

Top secret project, eh? Sounds interesting – hope it’s not just another compilation or “Love”-type thing.

a-hard-days-night-ringo-8Sorry but its always infuriated me that a White Album boxset with outtakes was planned, produced, cancelled and replaced by some rip-off sh*ty pen that nobody on the planet wanted or would have thought was decent. Oh wait we got an exact non-remastered replica of The White Album lp. Woop-de-flipping-do.  And i bought the thing.a-hard-days-night-ringo-13

All we need now is another 12 pens for the other albums and we can have a collection.

I doubt it will be something we’ve had before. Apple generally do the new stuff well, yes there are always improvement but unless they let me have unlimited access to everything ever done then im going to have a complaint. Sorry but thats how it is being a beatle fan and me.ahdn_paul_01

I don’t think White Album outtakes are necessary, there are many on Anthology 3 . Maybe they will release Sessions with all previously unreleased tracks not released on Anthology 3 or only Now And Then (I read many times that paul and ringo finished it and want it released, I don’t know if it’s true, though)

We’re probably done with new releases – Dhani and Olivia will never allow release of Carnival Of Light , and they had a window of opportunity and ignored it.

I agree with Sun King that we will never see Carnival Of Light and will add the 27 minute Helter Skelter to that. Also if the 50th anniversary of Let It be passes with no movie then we can forget that too.

I do think we will see some Pepper thing tho im not conviced it would be a box set – how about a Pepper Pot?

Isn’t Carnival Of Light Paul’s composition? Why are Dhani and Olivia in charge?

All four Beatles (or Beatle estates) have to agree in order for something to be released.

I told her I didn’t

And there’s no possible way Dhani or Olivia will allow Carnival Of Light to be released if George didn’t want it released.

Arent we screwed with the Let It Be movie then as i doubt George wanted that out as well. Its probably in all 4 Beatles last willls and testaments: “At no point is …. to permit the release of the film ‘Let It Be ‘ so as to be inkeeping with my own standing on the matter.”.

Im presuming that that veto clause will be handed down the family line to the children.

What we need is some crafty individual to get in there and grab a dub. Someone somehow managed to get the uncut complete Revolution 1  out so it is possible and that was probably in the same list of never thought likely to hear recordings. Either that or hack into the digitised computer catalogue at EMI/Apple. Folks are accessing everything nowadays from their own bedroom. Not that that is legal or to be encouraged. Piracy is wrong etc etc.

I thought I read somewhere that Let It Be was going to be released next year. They better release it because I have no other way of watching it.

Every few years stories appear of a release for the Let It Be film but nothing ever comes of it. It was prepared for reissue years back around the time of Let It Be Naked but failed to materialise. One of the reasons used for why its never appeared was that a large amount of footage had surfaced, i think in Australia, and Apple were going thru and processing it all to see if anything was suitable to use.

At one time it was on youtube but has since vanished, you will find it online but would have to be careful where you went to view it.

Edit: Parts of it are back on youtube but not all.

Yeah, I have seen parts of it on YouTube but I would like to see the whole thing. And I know you have to be careful online, which is why I haven’t really looked all that much on there.

Veto clause: Apple has to approve any releases (be it CD, iTunes, or DVD/BluRay). However, Apple’s approval process is unanimity, meaning nothing can be done without the approval of all 4 Beatles (or wives or children).
Let It Be won’t be released because Paul is concerned about his image, and how it would look rereleasing a movie in which (I saw it on YouTube) he’s a massive douche. Yoko won’t allow it because she’s viewed derisively by all parties, and Olivia and Dhani won’t allow it because George (I believe) threatened to veto it before he died (my timeline isn’t perfect, but McCartney thought up Let It Be … Naked and a rerelease of the film in 2000, George gave approval of the music, but didn’t give permission, so they said it wasn’t going to be released because of internal tensions. I stand to be corrected, but that’s how I know the story)

Fantasy scenario: Paul secretly leaks “Carnival Of Light ” to youtube or wherever, then coyly claims that no, he has NO IDEA how it got out there; and yes, he’s aware that George didn’t wish for the world to hear it, but then George had nothing to be ashamed of because the whole thing was Paul’s idea anyways! In revenge, Olivia leaks “Let It Be ” onto the net, just to keep those Paul-behaving-badly clips before the public.

GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.
