One reason i’d imagine is to save space as having thousands of old messages may take up loading time or cost more for the forum to hold. Either that or they just dont see the point in keeping inane drivel from 2002 on the off-chance that someone will dredge it up 13 years later.

Offline It’s usually to speed up loading because by default most forums use some simple operations to search through their databases and the more stuff, the longer it takes. It’s not so much space but the cost of the query and retrieval.

Ha ha – you are too quick for me. It is holding the heart which says “hug me”. I have a plushy collection which is way too big for most males of the species – it began when I received an awesome antique teddy-bear when I was 5 and has continued ever since.

@Joe, I figured that was the case, and I don’t have a strong preference either way. But I did like the fact that having it pinned served as a vague reminder to people to keep a look out for possible candidate.

I have a plushy penguin collection which I keep under better control these days. It got out of hand when I was working at a charity shop.

Offline I used to have a largish plush armadillo collection, but I got rid of some of them when I was purging my apartment last year. I still have a couple.
