I really want to go to Knott’s Scary Farm, anyone been there? It looks like good fun.

Never been. I can’t do scary movies or haunted houses. When I was a kid, my church put together a really tame haunted house in the basement, and that was enough to give me nightmares.

I hear working at those is rough – the actors sometimes get punched and kicked by freaked out customers. You couldn’t pay me enough.

I’d be terrified and be out of there in seconds so not financially sensible.

I did one for a local house in Halloween before, had to jump from a tree dressed as a skeleton (what I do to get a couple of euro, eh ahdn_paul_02) nothing happened to me though, if it did I probably would have punched them back ahdn_paul_02a-hard-days-night-john-6.

Doing Christmas is by far the worst though I was dressed up as an elf and the amount of brats who throw tantrums just because Santa is running a bit late is a pain in the arse and the parents do nothing about it- that and the kids who go up to you and say “you’re not a real elf!!!” “Oh yeah well I’ll put you on the Naughty List and you’ll see whose not a real elf either you little—-“

I also did Easter (dressed up as a chicken), same thing as above but greedy children who want more than one egg and their parents encourage it “Hey I’ve already given you one, we need eggs for the other boys and girls”- when my preferred language would generally be far more vulgar.

Yeah kids don’t become actors* or if you do become a self-sustainable one, the wages are sh*t and so are the hours (if you can get any). Enjoy!

Ha I don’t think I could dress as a chicken. Though I suppose dressing as the Easter Bunny or in your case an Elf are far worse.

I’ve been to a few haunted houses and they don’t really scare me. Now, a dark cemetery gives me chills. Or a “real” haunted house, though it depends on the nature of the spirits.

I’ve got photos of my dressing-up antics (you’re not getting an elf one though because it shows my face and we don’t want to mentally scar some people and Halloween was never photographed)

I said “Happy Halloween” to Ohhh Boy this morning. He replied, “Bah humbug.” LOL. I knew he was joking. My coworkers and I have had a good laugh about it today.

Great “Abbey Road ”, @Zig!

I’ve dressed like a slightly chubby middle-aged man with a receding hairline wearing dark clothes and smoking a cigar. I’ll knock on people’s doors and shout “Trick or treat!?” I bet I’ll provoke more than one heart attack (unless I get shot first)

Nice costume! I’ve dressed up as Ringo early ’66 when his hair started to look stupid in a John Lennon shirt and jeans. Now that’s creativity!

…and although it admittedly doesn’t look that bad, I need a haircut…

Edit: since my sarcasm doesn’t always translate via type, and that could possibly be a real costume albeit it a strange one, I’d like to clarify that that means I’m myself.

Clarifying sarcasm… I’m taking the fun out of everything. Trick or treat! a-hard-days-night-john-1
