John Lennon and Yoko Ono gave an interview to BBC Radio 2’s Late Night Extra on 15 July 1971.
It took place shortly after a signing session for Ono’s book Grapefruit, which had recently been reissued as a paperback.
Following the session, at the Selfridges department store on London’s Oxford Street, Ono and Lennon attended a press reception in a back room. One of the interviewers was Bob Holness, whose exchange with them was broadcast later that evening by the BBC.
