John Lennon and Yoko Ono took part in a signing session for Ono’s book Grapefruit on 15 July 1971.
Grapefruit had been published in 1964, but had recently been reissued as a paperback.
The signing took place at the Selfridges department store on London’s Oxford Street. Around 400 people attended, after which Ono and Lennon attended a press reception.
A second signing session took place the following day at Claude Gill Books, also on Oxford Street.
