22 February 1971 was the second day of Paul McCartney’s court hearing to have The Beatles’ business partnership dissolved.
The court had heard McCartney’s case on 19 February. On this day Morris Finer, QC, representing John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, stated their case.
He outlined how the band’s business manager Allen Klein had “rescued the Beatles from almost total
bankruptcy.” Finer told the court how Klein had inherited a chaotic business situation and rescued The Beatles from near-bankruptcy.
None of The Beatles attended the High Court on this day.
