Recording: Get On The Right Thing by Wings

Studio A-1, A&R Recording, New York City
Producer: Paul McCartney
Engineer: Dixon Van Winkle

Paul and Linda McCartney finished recording the future Wings song ‘Get On The Right Thing’ on 11 February 1971.

The final additions were backing vocals. Various parts were added, and towards the end of the session Paul, dancing in the vocal booth, accidentally pulled his headphones lead out of the patch bay. His exclamation “My plug came out!” was left in the final mix.

‘Get On The Right Thing’ would be released on Wings’ second album Red Rose Speedway, released in spring 1973.
