Last couple of films I saw were both pretty great: “Boys Don’t Cry” from 1999 and “The 400 Blows”, the French classic from 1959.

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

Did you watch the 400 Blows in French or English?

French with English subtitles.

Shamefully, I’m a Canadian with no ability to speak/understand French.

Finally saw the infamous “The Room”, based on a couple of years of word-of-mouth (including the words of various ‘biblers) and the encouragement of my Beatlebud, oft mentioned in the forum. Happy to find that it’s indeed as mesmerisingly, uniquely awful as reputed. Will watch again and again (and maybe again again.)

Star Wars Episode VIII (The Last Jedi) is really good. I enjoyed it so much I might go back and see it again. (And I hate re-watching films.)
Also, Kylo Ren is a really great character, I think he’s my favourite. He’s not your standard bad guy, it’s rather refreshing.

idk how you can hate rewatching films

I watched four movies on loop this summer – Moana, Toy Story, Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3. I would probably still be watching them on loop, but my dvd player stopped working a couple months ago. ):

Not like watching a film twice in my life time, but by watching the same movie in close proximity to the first time I watched it.

Just got out of this movie and I give it a very high recommendation. Kylo Ren is pretty awesome.

Recently, I have watched the Peter Sellers film The Party (1968) and the Ryan Gosling film Lars and The Real Girl (2007). As creepy as the latter one sounds and looks at first, It’s actually very charming and moving.

The Room is beautiful, I’ve been watching it for years. Every few months my friends and I host a get-together, where we watch it. Truly an amazing film.

I saw The Disaster Artist yesterday, it was great. I hope it wins some awards- 2 nominations already for The Golden Globes so it’s hopeful. James Franco was brilliant, portrayed Wiseau perfectly.

Continuing to catch up with early Hitchcock films I’d never seen. Last week it was 1927’s “The Lodger”, and yesterday I watched “Sabotage” from 1935 (with Charles Hawtrey!)

On my slate:

The Disaster Artist

Loving Vincent

The Post

Last movie I watched: A Robin Williams film called The Final Cut. It was an interesting concept and the movie wasn’t all that bad. I got a Chromecast for Chrimble, so I’ve been enjoying pulling up all kinds of stuff on Hulu, Netflix and Filmstruck. Too bad it doesn’t get Amazon Prime (they don’t play well with Google products, boooooo) but I think between these three I’ve got some great choices. I watch Amazon Prime through my Blue Ray Player so it’s all good.
