A mixing session for Wings’ ‘Goodnight Tonight’ single took place on 29 January 1979.
Paul McCartney began the session by editing the song from 7:16 to 4:19. He then mixed both versions in stereo.
The day’s work was not considered good enough to release, however, and ‘Goodnight Tonight’ was mixed again on 30 January, 1, 5, 8, and 9 February, and 2 March 1979.
