A launch party for Wings’ ‘Mull Of Kintyre’ single was held on 11 November 1977.
The event took place at the Dial 9 Club in London’s Soho. Guests were served traditional Scottish refreshments, including smoked and poached salmon, haggis, and Scottish cheeses.
During the party, EMI presented Wings with gold discs for Wings At The Speed Of Sound and Wings Over America, and silver discs for those albums plus Venus And Mars and the singles ‘Silly Love Songs’ and ‘Let ’Em In’.
