Recording: Beware My Love by Wings

Studio Two, EMI Studios, London
Producer: Paul McCartney
Engineer: Tony Clark

Wings re-recorded the Wings At The Speed Of Sound song ‘Beware My Love’ on 17 October 1975.

A previous version had been taped with John Bonham on drums on 28 August. Upon reviewing the tapes, however, Paul McCartney decided that it should be redone with Wings’ drummer Joe English.

Two 24-track tape reels were filled on this day. The basic track had Paul McCartney on vocals and piano, Linda McCartney on Moog synthesizer, Denny Laine on bass guitar, Jimmy McCulloch on electric guitar, and English on drums.

They re-recorded the song yet again on 27 January 1976. Wings taped 53 takes, around half of which were complete. The final version was an edit of the October and January versions, with the later version used for the song’s finale. The vocals were recorded during overdub sessions on 22 and 23 January.
