John Lennon filmed an appearance on the BBC music show The Old Grey Whistle Test on 11 March 1975.
It was Lennon’s only UK television appearance to promote the Rock ‘N’ Roll album. Lennon was interviewed by host Bob Harris, and revealed that he was planning a new album.
On 8 April Lennon performed versions of ‘Stand By Me’ and ‘Slippin’ And Slidin” at New York’s Record Plant, which were filmed and inserted into the 18 April broadcast.
