Wings’ single ‘Helen Wheels’ was released in the United States on 12 November 1973.
Helen Wheels was the name of the McCartneys’ Land Rover, a pun on the phrase ‘hell on wheels’. The song was recorded during sessions for the Band On The Run album.
The chart peak of ‘Helen Wheels’ was number 10. Its b-side was ‘Country Dreamer’, an outtake from the Red Rose Speedway sessions.
