The still-unnamed Wings held an overdub session for their first album Wild Life on 4 September 1971.
This was the first session held away from Abbey Road, and took place at Olympic Studios in Barnes, London.
Paul McCartney wanted to add woodwind to the song ‘Some People Never Know’, and commissioned Richard Hewson to write an arrangement. It was recorded on this day, although McCartney remained unhappy with the results.
Another overdub session for the album was booked for 6 September at Trident Studios, but was cancelled by McCartney.
