I was not a huge fan of Love but it's growing on me.
Same here. Love had to grow on me. However, now I find myself combining songs when I listen to the regular albums.
And I don't like that.
Don't fight it.
mr. Sun king coming together said And yes, YouTube comments are stupid. But hilariously so.

WOW! That's only a little creepy! I don't like it either and I will fight it as long as I can! I will never be able to look at Drive My Car the same way again
, for at least 2 weeks.

OfflineNo. They're set automatically, so there are twelve that cycle throughout the year. PPM, WTB, AHDN, BFS, Help!, RS, Revolver, SPLHCB, MMT, White Album, AR, LIB.
It was kind of The Beatles to make 12 core albums, not including Yellow Submarine. Thanks guys.

OfflineBecause there are twelve better ones.
I don't update the album of the month each month – it's set to pull in a file depending on what month it is. The same with song of the day – I have 366 files which are selected depending on which day of the year it is today. When I set the albums up I selected the 12 main titles, and left out YS (if they'd done, say, 15 core albums I would have needed to be even more selective).

I've always considered YS to be better than LIB.

Hmm…I'd probably agree with you that the "Songtrack" is better than LIB overall, song-for-song, with all those 1965-1968 gems on it. But I prefer to hear 'em in their original contexts. And as for the original soundtrack album, I regret to say that I've never played the second side more than a half-dozen times, tops. (Sorry, Mr. Martin.)
How about we consider YS to be "Album of the Day" every February 29!

I occaisionally see sound. I don't like it but I can't help it. And my iPod shws me the name of the song. I just add "/The Word/What You're Doing" to the end of "Drive My Car" when I listen to Rubber Soul. Anyone else notice that Let It Be is missing from the LOVE album?

OfflineAt first, I refused to buy a copy of LOVE (I thought it was just a money grab at first). Now that I have it, I consider it as much of their official catalogue as I do Revolver. I mean, I know it's not technically a new Beatles album, but it's still more of a Beatles album than Yellow Submarine was.
