I remember Love being promoted around the time I was at university, and around this time I was becoming a big fan of The Beatles. I was glad they were having a renewed focus, but also annoyed people would listen and think “this is how the songs are”. It’s not an album I listen to much, but think it’s much better to do AFTER you’ve become a big fan. That way you can place all the different sounds, and know the original songs inside and out, so Love isn’t your first and lasting impression.
