Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3 was the second and final album by the supergroup The Traveling Wilburys.
The band members were George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Bob Dylan, and Tom Petty. It was recorded after the death of former member Roy Orbison.
From my point of view, I just tried to preserve our relationship. I worked so hard to make sure that all the guys who were in that band, and consequently on record and film, that their friendship wasn’t abused. Just to preserve our friendship – that was the underlying contribution, I think, that I was trying to do.
Traveling Wilburys Vol. 2 was released on 29 October 1990. While it did not repeat the commercial success of Vol. 1, it reached the top 10 in Canada, Norway, and Sweden. In the UK it peaked at 14, and in the US it reached 11 on the Billboard 200 and 5 on the Cash Box chart.
